Founder’s personal project

A small game, finished with care

Turn an original browser-game prototype into a complete local experience that can be opened directly from a portfolio.

The challenge

A simple game still needs predictable interactions: clear turns, legal moves, a reliable restart and feedback that works beyond a mouse. The project needed its own identity without adding unnecessary accounts or setup.

The decisions that shaped it.

  1. Keep play immediate

Use HTML, CSS and JavaScript without a framework or build step. Support two players on one device or a computer opponent, with three difficulty levels.

  2. Connect feedback with the rules

Combine a dimensional board and the project’s blue/amber identity with keyboard focus, live turn announcements and a result dialog. Respect reduced-motion preferences.

  3. Check the awkward moments

Test legal moves, score persistence and restarting during a delayed computer move. Use minimax for the hard opponent and verify its behaviour separately from the visual interface.

What was delivered

  • A browser game published through the founder’s portfolio.
  • Arabic/English controls, light/dark themes and responsive local play.
  • Computer difficulty choices and scores stored on the current device.

What carries forward

The quality of a small interaction comes from the edge cases as much as the first impression.
